Adventures of Damian our school pyromaniac (film)

The film duration is 19 minutes. It has been recorded on DVD. The film is an educational material and its aim is to educate children about fire safety. The film is addressed to 6 to 9 years-old children of primary level schools.
The film shows the causes of fire accidents and their results and instructs what to do in case of fire, including calling out the Fire Brigade. Also, it shows the rules and examples of evacuating students from school. It explains the meaning of evacuation signs.
The film has been produced in the premises of a standard primary school and it has been shown as a theatrical school play. The students play as actors. The scenario has been created by school teachers. The prepared texts are rhymed in Polish. The DVD also contains methodical hints, lyrics of songs and an opinion of a school psychologist.

The contents of the film:
Two students are playing with a petard during the class in a school library. Suddenly the petard explodes and the fire starts. The students behave differently. One of them hides himself, the other acts properly – he leaves the library and informs the head master’s office. The secretary calls the Fire Brigade. The alarm is raised. The teachers leads students outside the school building. The Fire Brigade arrives, extinguishes the fire and evacuates the student trapped in the school library.
The speaker explains what a fire is, what is the importance of fire for people, what using fire improperly may cause, especially using the petards. Also, the speaker informs about the causes of fires. The speaker instructs what to do in case of fire and remembers the rules of evacuating people.
The children perform three theme songs connected with the film.
