This brochure contains 24 size A5 pages. It is in a comic strip form with captions an it is addressed to adults and senior secondary school students.
The content of the brochure:
During building work at one of the schools an excavator unearths a large corroded bottle. The school’s headmaster notifies the fire brigade and orders the evacuation of the school. The town’s fire brigade centre dispatches fire fighting units and a chemical emergency rescue team. The firemen check the bottle and find out that it contains a very toxic substance, chlorine. The ambulance service, police, town’s guard units and town’s engineer department are notified as well as the town’s crisis centre and town’s mayor. Local community is informed of the emergency with the use of alarm sirens and laud speakers. Local media repeatedly broadcast warning communicates and instructions. An evacuation of the school and town is under way. Using one of the residents as an example correct procedures are shown which should be performed prior to the evacuation itself. The fire brigade, under an escort, transport the bottle into a safe area. The alarm is called off and people can return to their homes, school children are picked up by their parents.
